Your hardest idea, explained.
A film in one drawing. A single light acts out your product, device or discovery while the reader scrolls. Narrated, cut for social, and delivered in two weeks.
Too hard for a paragraph. Too fast for a video.
Some ideas lose people in the second sentence: a model that answers with a probability, an alarm that has to wake someone at three in the morning, a spacecraft one light-day away. Lightline draws the whole idea as one engineering drawing, and a light acts it out, one idea a chapter.
A video runs at its own speed. A Lightline film runs at the reader’s, and it is still there when they scroll back.
| Film | One drawing, one light, 60 to 90 seconds. Seven to nine chapters, one idea each. Scroll to direct it, or press Roll. Made for the phone first. |
|---|---|
| Your mark | The light ends in your colour and traces your mark, measured from your own files. |
| Narration | A narrator over an ambient bed, one recording per chapter, written for the ear. The titles on screen are the captions. |
| Social cuts | Three to five vertical videos, 20 to 40 seconds each, sound on, captions in. One idea per cut, numbered as a series. |
| Stills | One frame per chapter, for posts, decks and the press. |
| Sources | A source for every number on the drawing, written down and dated, in a sheet you keep. |
| Type | Set in one of five typefaces we hold for client films, chosen with you to sit beside your own. |
| Where it lives | On your site. One self-contained page, at the address you choose. |
| Rights | Yours to use anywhere, for as long as you like. We may show it in our own work. |

A product. A device. A discovery.

TypeSafe AI’s Jev, an if-statement with judgment. Made unasked, not sponsored.

A glucose alarm at 03:12, from the sensor to the person it has to wake.

Voyager 1, one light-day from Earth in November 2026.
One hard idea. Not everything.
A Lightline film explains one thing. It is not a product tour, a demo of your interface or a testimonial, and if the idea fits in a paragraph, write the paragraph. Health and regulated subjects take your regulatory team’s verbs, and the script goes to them before a line is drawn.
The film runs on WebGPU, which current Chrome, Safari and Edge have, on phones too. Older browsers get the drawing, still, with every title. The cuts play everywhere.
