Hatch
A daily collectible app for iPhone, made for Hatch. Knock on the day's egg five times and one of a million 3D creatures hatches, each with its own number, name and voice.
One egg a day. Five knocks, and it hatches.
Hatch is an iPhone app with one egg a day. Knock on it five times and a little guy hatches: one of a million, each with its own number, name, look and voice. They live together on a windowsill that follows the real sun. There are no coins, no shop and no accounts. We made all of it for Hatch, from the logo to the launch film.
Knock five times.
Nobody drew them.
Each little guy is built from its number alone. Eleven kinds of part, from 8 bodies and 14 tops to 18 colours, make 99,283,968 looks. Six rarities run from common to one of one.
A gift with every egg.
A snack, a keepsake or the music box, for the sill: thirteen gifts in all, and no coins or shop.
A sill that follows the sun.
The windowsill keeps the real sun's time, so the light, and where they sit, change through the day.
